How do I install the VPN on my device?

DialectForge VPN for macOS is available now — grab it from our download page. iOS, Windows, and Android coming soon.

The VPN won't connect. What should I do?

1. Make sure you've approved the System Extension (macOS) or VPN permission (iOS)
2. Try a different server (Helsinki, Virginia, or Singapore)
3. Check your internet connection without VPN
4. Restart the app
5. If the problem persists, contact support with details about your device and error message

How do I approve the System Extension on macOS?

When you first connect, macOS will ask you to approve the extension. Go to System Settings → General → Login Items & Extensions. Find DialectForge and enable it. You may need to enter your password. If you don't see the prompt, click "Enable VPN Extension" in the app.

How many devices can I use?

Standard accounts support up to 5 registered devices. You can manage your devices in the app's Settings → Registered Devices. Revoke devices you no longer use to make room for new ones.

Is my traffic really invisible?

Yes. DialectForge uses a proprietary protocol that transforms your traffic into random noise. Unlike traditional VPNs (WireGuard, OpenVPN), there are no recognizable packet headers or signatures. The "dialect" encoding changes every 2 minutes, making it impossible to fingerprint.

Which server should I use?

Choose the server closest to you for best performance:
Helsinki: Best for Europe, Middle East, Africa
Virginia: Best for Americas
Singapore: Best for Asia-Pacific, Oceania

The app shows server load percentages to help you choose the least congested option.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

How do I cancel my subscription?

iOS: Go to Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → DialectForge VPN → Cancel
macOS (App Store): Open App Store → Account → Subscriptions

Does DialectForge log my activity?

No. We do not log your browsing activity, DNS queries, or traffic content. We only store the minimum data needed to operate your account (email, device IDs, connection timestamps). See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases (iOS) are handled directly by Apple — visit reportaproblem.apple.com. macOS purchases through GitHub releases are non-refundable.
